Valencia Oranges from Florida

One of the latest Florida Oranges to come into season the Valencia Orange. While this sweet Florida orange variety was originally cultivated in California, Valencias are now mainly grown in the Sunshine State, and make up about 50% of the fruit crop here.

Valencia oranges are well-known juice oranges, but their sweet taste, deep orange color and very few seeds make them one the more popular Florida fruits to eat and cook with as well.
