Honey Tangerines from Florida

The honey tangerine gets its name because it is the sweetest variety of tangerine. Grown only in Florida, this citrus fruit is also known as a "Murcott" and has a higher sugar count than Honeybells. Murcotts got their name from Charles Murcott Smith, the citrus grower who developed the variety in the 1920s. Honey Tangerines are available through April.
