Bob Roth's New River Groves to be featured in Davie's Orange Blossom Parade
Be sure to set your alarm early on Saturday, February 27 so you can get your spot on the parade route for the annual Orange Blossom Parade in Davie, FL. We’re pleased to announce that once again, Bob Roth’s New River Groves will be featured in the kick-off event of the Orange Blossom Festival.
This year, we’ll have not just one, but three different floats! Here’s what’s in store for you:
Farmer Bob on the Farmall Cub – Bob Roth himself will drive a classic tractor favored by many collectors: A Farmall Cub. Bob will be towing a float with his father and the Grove’s founder Al Roth, who will be 100 years old this year. Al will be joined by two special guests … former WTVJ-NBC6 anchor Tony Segreto and his wife Rose.
David Roth escorts Mrs. Florida – You can’t miss this New River Groves float! The giant mobile Orange you’ve seen featured in events throughout South Florida will have very special cargo in this parade: the lovely Mrs. Florida. Taking the wheel of the orange will be Bob’s son, David Roth.
Generations in Orange – This float is the parade-goer’s favorite because we toss fresh Florida oranges into the crowd! Who makes the sweet liquid sunshine a reality? All the kids in the Roth Family team up to make it happen. Along with other friends and family, be on the lookout for these orange-slinging hot shots: Sarah, Jake, Olivia, Max and Elias.
The parade route will run along Davie Road, starting at 10:00 a.m. The route starts at SW 39th Street and proceeds south to Orange Drive, where the heart of the festival is taking place.
More than just a parade
The Orange Blossom fest has become a special celebration in the town of Davie, Florida. In addition to the parade, the Fest will have more than 250 displays, a cook-off contest and live Entertainment throughout the day.
